The New Jerusalem Bible (NJB) In 1966 the Catholic Church in England published The Jerusalem Bible, an English translation of the highly respected La Sainte Bible of the French Dominicans of Jerusalem. The Jerusalem Bible was re-translated by the Catholic Church in England and published in 1985 as The New Jerusalem Bible.
